Hi, my name is Kasey and I’m a service dog trainer who is passionate about animals, family, and Veterans services. I’ve been training dogs for over ten years and it's one of the best jobs I’ve ever had, unfortunately it's in a prison! I’m also the commander of the American Legion post at my facility. I served in the Army and National Guard for over eighteen years, completed two combat deployments to Iraq, and was awarded the Bronze Star during my second tour. That’s why I’m so invested in Veterans affairs and benefits for all who have served. I spend my free time in the hobby shop where a friend and I make memorial boxes for Gold Star mothers and other charities we feel are good for the community. I enjoy woodworking and hope to continue when I am released. I love to be outdoors and fishing is my ultimate hobby. I long for the ability to sit on the water and enjoy the serenity. I’d also like to go kayaking and hope to own a few so we can explore all the beautiful scenery Washington State has to offer. I believe in equality for all; the color of one's skin is irrelevant to me as I can't understand why so much hate is attributed to cultural differences. I enjoy learning all about new places and hope to travel to them some day. I love to laugh, watch silly movies and comedy shows, and listen to most music but rock most of all. I love anything chocolate and I can master any grill within seconds!
