I’m a North Carolina man in a Washington prison for a crime I didn’t commit, a conviction I am actively appealing with 2 years to life left on my sentence. Prior to prison, I served 9 years in the U.S. Army from which I earned an honorable discharge three months prior to being arrested for something I didn’t do. I’m a father of three children and a lover of all animals. My career aspirations include this love for animals as I wish to pursue a career in something involving plants, fungi, and animals alongside becoming an Eastern Orthodox (Orthodox Catholic) Priest and/or Buddhist Monk. Yes, I can still be married. Currently, besides my past experience as a Combat Engineer and an Artilleryman in the Army, I’m certified by the Red Cross in CPR and First Aid. I am also a certified Beekeeper and Composter by WA with a DTA from Grays Harbor College. I’m actively pursuing certification as a Paralegal, Veterinary Assistant, Welder, CTAP, Gardener, and an Associate’s Degree in Theology at the International Christian College and Seminary. However, my studies will always be ongoing. My dream is to be a Biologist of some kind, preferably a Marine Biologist or Herpetologist, but becoming a jack of all trades seems to be a part of this journey.
