Hello Future Friend,

My name is Jawan. I am 45 years old, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I enjoy reading all types of books. I love all sports. I’m a big man with a big heart and a healthy sense of humor.

I’m looking for honest, loyal, and understanding people to correspond with, especially after being incarcerated for the past 24 years.

My main focus has always been maintaining my health mentally, physically, and emotionally. I’m a people person, and I truly enjoy helping others. I teach classes to my peers five days a week.

I’m also an animal lover. During my incarceration, I’ve held different jobs, but the most rewarding one and the one I continue to do — is training rescue and service dogs. Honestly, I don’t even consider it a job because caring for and training dogs is my passion.

Recently, Michigan law changed for juvenile lifers, and I’m grateful to say I will now have the opportunity to be released in the coming years. God has blessed me with a second chance, and I don’t want to miss out on meeting someone special along the way.

One thing that has been missing throughout my incarceration is companionship — someone to share conversation, laughter, and life with.
