Hello, I’m currently incarcerated within the VADOC serving a 25-year prison sentence on convictions of attempted aggravated murder, robbery, burglary, and three counts of use of a firearm.
As far as education, I have a GED, a trade in brick masonry, an NCCER card, an OSHA 10 card, a ServSafe certification, completed Foundations of Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts, completed a cooking/baking apprenticeship, and another trade in Commercial Foods.
I’m currently taking a Teacher’s Assistant apprenticeship and am hoping to obtain a college degree in the future, most likely in the culinary field.
I’m from Colonial Beach, Virginia, and I am very interested in owning a business upon my release. I’ve been incarcerated since I was 18 years old and will be 36 when I’m released.
During the start of my incarceration, I was in a dark place, so I changed my life and mindset overall. I decided to further my education, and that truly did change everything.
I do believe that I am going to have a bright future when I’m released.
