Hi I go by Tookie :-) I’m super into music, books, and video games. I like to talk, but I love to listen. I’m a sucker for a good story and I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours. I work outside in the field and I’m on the wait list to start my college education. I’m new to prison and I’m trying my best to adapt, but I’m finding I crave some company from someone who is not wearing a uniform. Go figure! My favorite book is Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment (don’t worry..I see the irony) but my actual favorite author is Jason Pargin. . He writes comedy sci-fi that might be the funniest sh*t I’ve ever read. I grew up in San Antonio, but I spent most of my time in Austin at punk shows and dance clubs or wailing my drunk little heart out at karaoke bars. I played acoustic guitar and viola and worked as a prep cook who hated cooking. My biggest motivator was and still is my friends and family. I have a wicked sense of humor and I appreciate someone who can match that, but I’d love to learn from people whose experiences in life are different from mine. So if you’re down to really talk, hear a stupid joke, or just recommend me something to read or listen to, I’d love to hear from you.
