I often sit and wonder in my solitary cell, will I ever be free or shall I forever live in these pits of hell? I don't know and there's no way to tell, but for the meantime this is where I must dwell. I ask myself is this all life has in store; is there no way out except at death's door? Will I never know true love; will I never know that which poets write and singers sing of? Will I ever enjoy the fragrance of a rose or feel the caress of its petals upon my nose. Shall I ever taste love's kiss or satisfy my hunger on its body of pure bliss?
There's so much that I can still give, but will I ever have the chance to live? My heart yearns to love, my body burns to make love, but in here there is no love to speak of. So once again I sit and wonder in my solitary cell; will I ever be free or shall I live forever in these pits of hell? I don't know and I can't tell, but for the meantime this is where I must dwell!
Hello, I hope you enjoyed the poem you just read and hopefully it "makes you wonder" about me and that you would like to know me. I would enjoy meeting you and begin a friendship with you if you give me an opportunity. I have no preference in race or religion and welcome anyone who wants to write me. All I ask is that you be an honest and sincere person. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
