Hello World!

My name is Richard Gamache, and I’m writing to you from California’s death row.

I’m curious….are you doing alright today? Are you safe, happy, healthy? I take none of these things for granted. So, it’s always the first thing I ask….and, yes, I genuinely want to know.

One thing you’ll learn about me is I am a “great listener”. That is….if you write! I truly hope you do, as I only have one ailing 94 year old grandfather, and two other people who write to me.

Let me tell you a little more about myself. I am the epitome of easy going and loyal. I will answer any and all mail….let’s be honest, a lot of prisoners are “gamers”! They are into and attracted to the “game”, whereas I am attracted to people!

For me, relationships are golden! It took being incarcerated for 29 years, experiencing isolation and persecution, to fully learn the importance of having true friends in my life! This is why I’m reaching out to you – yes, you! I want to make friends. I enjoy “discussions” about everything from the serious to mundane.
