My name is Melanie, and I grew up in Texas.  I have strawberry blonde hair and (I’m told) blue eyes that can light up a room.  I’m active and adventurous.  I love the outdoors and trying new things. This experience has taught me how precious each moment is, how not to take things for granted, and how AWESOME my family is! I have a new lease on life, and I’m going to make the most of it. “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.”  I’m very family-oriented and kind-hearted, and I like helping others.  People say I’m easygoing and FUN to be around.  I love rock music, and I can’t wait to go to concerts again.  My kids and I have our own band on the PS3 with Rock Band and Guitar Hero.  I love learning.  Right now I’m teaching myself to play the acoustic guitar and taking college classes.  I’m seeking friendship, maybe more.
